My First Blog Post

Entry Type: Announcement

This is my first blog post! I'm not entirely sure how often I'll update this blog, but I'll still have this here if I wanted to.

I have finally posted my old animations

Between Late January and Early July of 2024, I made a bunch of animations using A program called Wick Editor. Originally, I didn't really post them anywhere as I was making them for fun and wasn't too concerned about having an audience, but now I really feel like there are people out there will like them. Today, I have decided to post all of them on my Youtube Channel. I wasn't able to post all of them today as there is a daily upload limit, but I'm sure I'll be able to post all of them by tomorrow! :P

Expectation vs Reality

Entry Type: Thoughts

August 22, 2024

I've recently started work on a new animation, when I first started making progress on it I noticed that I wasn't very happy with how it was turning out and I started stressing about the fact that it doesn't look like how I want it to. This is a problem that I run into a lot with my animations and it's really kept me from fully appreciating my work. I have an idea in my head, and when I start carrying it out it doesn't end up looking like how I envisioned and then I start stressing about getting it to look like how I want it to and I start losing interest. This is also the reason why I don't make animations as much as I did when I first discovered Wick Editor. I was just more motivated to make them, so I wasn't as worried about the distance between what I want and what I got.

I installed Wine

Entry Type: Announcement

September 6, 2024

Sometime between Mid 2023 and Early 2024, I heard of this thing called Wine. Wine is a program that lets you run Windows Executables on other operating systems (In my case it's MacOS) and a couple days ago it came back into my head so I decided to install it via Homebrew. Since I don't have any real reasons to use Wine, I've just been using it to run old Windows apps (e.g. some demo for a random Scooby Doo game I downloaded on the Wayback Machine) and not for anything practical. A part of me feels like I should've done something like this earlier when I was doing my experiments with Macintosh, but thats because Macintosh was the only emulator that I knew of at the time that could get these older programs to run. Prepare to see a bunch of stuff relating to Wine for the next however long this whole thing peaks my interest for! :P
